Our client is a manufacturer of packaging products. Responsibilities:
Working closely with the Production and Quality Control Departments on the daily progress versus the schedule and act when changes are needed.
Working closely with the warehouse on shipments to customers and receipts from vendors.
Scheduling the process sequences using the appropriate software in order to obtain the best compromise between customers' needs and productivity.
Ensuring that conveyor is timely loaded/unloaded by operators.
Managing inquiries regarding delivery times from the Customer Service department and coordinating with the relevant planning department to propose solutions including airfreight or partial shipment of components to match with customer delivery time requirements.
Acknowledging and processing orders from the Sales/Customer Service department and coordinating with the relevant planning department and local suppliers to check the availability of components and avoid any overstock.
Requesting lead times from overseas planning to assess and ensure delivery schedules comply with customer requirements.
Processing production orders according to the availability of incoming materials and customer delivery requirements.
Performing inventory movements in the system when appropriate.
Working closely with the global team ensures the supply can meet customer’s demand.
Bachelor's Degree or higher in any related field.
At least 8 years’ experience in the planning function, ideally from the consumer/packaging related industry.
Experience of direct contact with local and overseas suppliers would be advantageous.
Proven track record of analytical, leadership, decision-making and conceptual skills.
Good computer skills (MS Office Applications – Excel is preferred), SAP experience is required and CAN-DO attitude with proactive personality.
