About the role
This is a full-time position that plays a crucial operational role in managing our yard activities and ensuring smooth coordination of daily operations. As Yard Operator and Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing yard operations, coordinating logistics activities, and maintaining efficiency across all yard-based processes. This position is essential to our company's ability to deliver reliable service to our clients and manage our inventory effectively.
Key responsibilities
Oversee daily yard operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching materials and goods
Coordinate the movement and placement of inventory within the yard to optimise space and accessibility
Manage and maintain accurate records of all yard activities, inventory levels, and transactions
Liaise with drivers, logistics personnel, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate material handling
Conduct regular yard inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and proper maintenance
Coordinate the scheduling of loading and unloading activities to maximise yard efficiency
Monitor yard equipment and report any maintenance issues or equipment damage promptly
Assist in training and supervising yard staff as needed
Prepare reports on yard operations, inventory levels, and any incidents or discrepancies
Support the administrative coordination of yard-related processes and documentation
What we're looking for
Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with different teams
Proficiency in using computer systems and basic office software for record-keeping and reporting
Physical ability to perform yard inspection duties and handle operational tasks
Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining inventory records and documentation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to operational challenges
Familiarity with steel industry operations or heavy materials handling is advantageous
Proficiency in English and Thai languages both spoken and written
