We are looking for an experienced Java Developer (Java 17+, Oracle PL/SQL) to build, optimize, and maintain scalable enterprise backend services using Java 17+, Spring Framework, and Oracle PL/SQL. You will collaborate with internal teams to drive system stability, high performance, and exceptional code quality.

AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) are core to our daily development workflow. Because directing AI and verifying its output requires strong software engineering fundamentals, we seek candidates with solid architectural knowledge who can effectively prompt, review, and refine AI-generated code.

• System & Backend Design: Architect scalable backend systems, defining service boundaries, data flows, transaction management, asynchronous processing, and messaging architectures.

• Modern Java Development: Build and maintain high-volume backend services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot / Spring Framework.

• Database Programming & Optimization: Design database schemas and write complex Oracle PL/SQL business logic (Procedures, Packages, Triggers).

• API Development & Integration: Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs, integrating internal services and third-party platforms.

• AI Tool Integration: Utilize AI coding tools to speed up development while thoroughly auditing and verifying AI-generated code before deployment.

• System Stability & Maintenance: Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize legacy and modern codebases to ensure high availability and performance.

• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain clear technical design documents, system behaviors, and operating procedures in Confluence.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a key technical liaison for business stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or related fields.

• Minimum 4 years of proven experience as a Java Backend Engineer in enterprise environments.

Required Technical Skills

• Core Java & Frameworks: Deep expertise in Java with a strong understanding of LTS versions (Java 8, 11, 17, and 21) and legacy migration. Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Security.

• Database Management: High proficiency in Oracle Database and complex PL/SQL scripting.

• AI-Assisted Workflow: Daily practical experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.) with the skill to evaluate, refine, and take ownership of the code.

• DevOps & Engineering Practices: Proficient with Git/GitHub, build tools (Maven/Gradle), and CI/CD pipeline workflows.

• Collaboration Tools: Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) for sprint management and technical documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Strong background in SQL performance tuning and execution plan analysis.

• Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of JSP, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript (jQuery) for maintaining legacy frontend screens.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.

• English Communication: Ability to write documentation, conduct code reviews, and participate in technical discussions in English with overseas teams.

Note on Interview Process:  Candidates will be asked to walk through their AI-assisted coding workflow during the interview, which will be conducted partly in English.
