Fixed Equipment Integrity Engineer (1 Position)

Job profile summary

  • Lead development of piping and pressure vessel asset strategy for the refinery, including the use of quantitative RBI.
  • Technical resource in damage mechanisms, process hazard analysis studies, and pressure vessel/piping asset strategy. Assist as needed to analyze data, calculate corrosion rates, assess risk, and predict end of life for piping, pressure vessels and tanks.
  • Provide technical oversight and second level review of inspection findings and recommendations, asset strategy adjustments, and interpretation of inspection data.
  • Participate in the planning and executing work plans for plant turnarounds.
  • Work directly with inspection team to help scoping inspection, repair and replacement options to address fixed equipment inspection findings.
  • Perform fitness-for-service assessments.
  • Participate in failure analysis to determine root cause and help developing long-term solutions to prevent repeat failures. Identify and solve bad actors.
  • Revise/author of Mechanical Integrity related system procedures or work instructions.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Material or Welding Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years experience in fixed equipment inspection and corrosion, or mechanical design including repair of pressure equipment, or reliability engineering in Refinery, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical
  • Good practical knowledge of damage mechanisms, material selection, NDT, inspection practices and repair techniques
  • Experience in project management
  • Good analytical skill, collaboration and drive to result
  • Good in English both spoken and technical written
  • Able to work in Rayong Province
