AR Senior Accountant (Manufacturing, Trading)

Location: Bangkok

Company Background: Our client is a Plastic Manufacturer in Thailand. They are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced person to join their team in the position of AR Senior Accountant.

Job Description:

  • Reconciling of general ledger accounts and bank statements.
  • Preparing accounting entries, and checking and making necessary adjustments.
  • Checking and confirming balance with customers, banks and related correspondence parties.
  • Supporting and maintaining accounting records to comply with Thai statutory report and corporate requirements.
  • Maintaining good banking relationships.
  • Handling letters of credit transactions.
  • Being responsible for customer collections locally and overseas.
  • Recording, reconciling and confirming AR inter-company transactions.
  • Preparing and recording allowance for doubtful debts, if necessary.
  • Being responsible to review and reconcile output VAT.
  • Liaising within internal related departments to ensure compliance on the output VAT.
  • Reviewing cash receipts journal entry prepared by A/R transactions.
  • Monitoring customers account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
  • Coordinating with bank and/or per their instructions in completing LC document checking process.
  • Supporting Financial Controller and Accounting Manager in preparing monthly and yearly supporting schedules or worksheets for audit and tax purposes.
  • Assisting the Financial Controller and Accounting Manager in preparing monthly closing process and accounting data input with accurate details.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years experience in accounting function.
  • Knowledge in Thai accounting standards, familiar with Thai revenue codes, import-export documents, BOI privilege, document control, billings, accounts control, credit control management.
  • Knowledge of basic banking documents (e.g. Letter of credit knowledge).
  • Good command of English.
  • Strong communication with overseas customers.
  • Strong computer knowledge and efficiently operate in Windows environment; MS Office, accounting software (preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX).
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts, ability to apply functions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations and applications.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and a good team player.
