Technical Support Engineer

Base Salary: Negotiable

Company: World-top ERP Company (USA)

Location: Near The Street Ratchada

Work Condition: Monday - Friday (830-17:30)

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop & provide consultation to customer on the design, setup, and implementation of the IT infrastructure.
  • Introduce new technology & IT solutions to help customer improve work process.
  • Manage projects and effectively resolve customer issues.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure timely completion of client deliverables.
  • Document and prepare service report to customer.

Job Qualification:

  • Thai Nationality / age not over 30 years old.
  • Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a related field
  • 1-4 yrs experience with Progress DBA supporting or Oracle or SQL DBA in system implementation or system/database administration or customer support engineer and has experience in QAD & Progress is preferable.
  • Service mind and customer focus, take action to meet customer needs and concerns. Shown competencies like Quality Orientation, Contributing to the team, Managing Work, Communication, Technical/ Professional knowledge, Analytical Thinking, Building Customer Loyalty, Continuous Learning, Initiating action.
  • Continuous learning, actively identifying new areas for learning, using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job.
  • Willing to work for Cloud customer's task based activities
  • Experience on Windows, Linux/Unix & RDBMS is mandatory
  • Good English and Thai communication skills
  • Experience using or supporting business software applications. Prior success in a Customer Service/Support capacity.
  • Willing to work on weekend in case China and India on Holidays (this is a very rare scenario, twice or thrice in a year)

Knowledgeable for the following areas:

  • Unix, Linux, Windows Server
  • RDBMS, Oracle, MS-SQL, Progress
  • IT Infrastructure and Networking, LAN/WAN, Internet/Intranet
  • Enterprise Application, such as ERP

Essential Skills:

  • Technical/system experience or knowledge of technical concepts preferred (Unix, Windows NT, Internet, networks, Progress).
  • Knowledge on QAD suite of products and related technologies (viz., Progress RDBMS) preferred.

Other skills:

  • Programming knowledge for troubleshooting is an advantage (C, C++, Unix, Progress, Oracle, SQL, Java, or XML, Python, Pascal, Perl, Basic or Visual Basic, Php, JSP).
