Safety Health and Environment Manager

Job purpose

  • Manage closely with management to be effective of safety & EHS management matter. Ensure all related activities under scope of business group are running well on the right track.


Principle Accountabilities

  • Manage EHS activities to ensure compliance with external EHS regulations, standards, internal environmental policies and management systems.
  • Lead, direct, and evaluate a team of EHS professionals to ensure EHS strategy is implemented effectively within established budgets which complies with all relevant regulations, law, and standards.
  • Investigate EHS incidents; prepare reports and recommendations; overall EHS performance to identify recurring problems; research, evaluate, and recommend changes to technology, equipment; systems, or processes that will improve the EHS responsibilities.
  • Liaise and coordinate with contractors to ensure appropriate safety plans are in place and being adhered to.
  • Reduce Total case incident rate ( TCIR ), Lost workday case rate ( LWCIR ), Lost work day Incident rate (LWDIR ) to meet the world class rate ( 0.7 for TCIR, 0.07 for LWCIR ) or Cooperate ’s objective
  • Undertake risk management and hazard reduction procedures to anticipate and prevent site safety problems.
  • Conduct regular safety audits on site and producing the monthly safety report.
  • Liaise with relevant government authorities regarding site safety as required.
  • Ensure awareness of all site workers and contractors of safety standards, including but not limited to, running toolbox talks regarding safety.

Qualifications required

  • Bachelor / Master in Safety, Occupational Health from accredit university.
  • 8 years experience in Safety&EHS Management.
  • At least 5 years experience in management role in manufacturing environment.
  • Professional in English communication skills (writing & speaking).
