Business Development Manager (China)

Our growing team works with some of the leading companies in the world – and we’re looking for Business Development Manager (China).

 As Business Development Manager (China), you will be responsible for:

  • Overall strategic, operational sales and customer relationship activities in China
  • Initiative new business model and marketing campaigns for Eko to fit with market characteristics with formulating a specific budget and expenditure plan for each marketing channel
  • Analyze strategic approaches to the development of business and making changes where appropriate
  • Plan and coordinate the implementation of Sales execution plans, marketing plan, localization, and the penetration of new market segments.
  • Develop and implementing new business initiatives across the team and departments entire organization
  • Collaborate with marketing department to devise marketing materials and tools to ensure proper identity, branding, PR activities, and events to support company strategic direction
  • Support marketing campaigns and monitor all sales channels to ensure sustainable growth of new business volume as per expected business’ target, revenue and profit to achieve company’s growth
  • Develop company brand and build awareness in the Chinese market continually.
  • Conduct market and competitors research on recent market trend and customer needs to capitalize those findings into innovative product development plan in the timely manner and adapt strategic competitiveness
  • Participate with product development and operation teams to tailor message consulting solutions for customers
  • Communicate and connect the country level activities with regional level initiatives and cross-country learning
  • Finalize country strategy documents, proposals, briefs, policy dialogue and other documents related to HQ
  • Coordinate country-level needs assessment and development of training materials and workshops to avoid duplication of efforts and ensure coherence in the overall approach within Eko and other partners
  • Assists in or produces feasibility studies/business plans for improving product development
  • Cross-functionally manage projects with multiple teams to create effective execution plan
  • Educate and empower employees/partners to have professional knowledgeable approach to the market
  • Develop and inspiring team to implement the change management concept and achieve agreed targets
  • Ensure all team members represent Eko in the best light
  • Evaluate issues to determine how competitive and current it is with the latest trends in the industry
  • Evaluate and tracking company goals on a monthly, and report suggestion and improvement plan to HQ
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and engagement with existing clients to ensure service quality delivery
  • Be responsible for feedback, data collection and analysis method such as survey, focus group, In-depth review, from relevant teams to develop better unique company culture
  • Identify opportunities with new business partners, developers, and essential vendors
  • Evaluate new opportunities to ensure resources focus on the best opportunities
  • Forming strategic partnerships with other companies to leverage networking relationship.
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals for customers/partners
  • Developing and managing relationships with current and existing partners in China
  • Participating in new business contract negotiations
  • Leverage current and new business partners to further expansion

We’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of total professional work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in account management/relationship management/technical sales, or experience as startup founders/key member of startup founding teams
  • Passion for startups and the startup ecosystem understanding of how startups operate and the unique characteristics of startup ecosystem and communities
  • Strong and flexible sales muscle ability to manage both a high volume of lower-touch engagements as well as dive deep on fewer but larger, more complex opportunities.
  • Proven BD mindset balanced short-term and long-term thinking; demonstrated track record of helping customers achieve business objectives beyond just selling product/service; ability to think like true partners and going outside of the scope of sales or marketing function to help customers
  • Technical depth good general technical knowledge; sufficient expertise with industry terminology and concepts; ability to develop a deep knowledge of the entire Cloud concept, billing constructs, communication platform, and understanding of operational backend systems/tools/reports
  • Professional maturity ability to operate effectively and with self-discipline given ambiguity, diverse market needs, minimal micro-managerial oversight, and geographically disperse teammates
  • BA or BS degree in Business and information technology
  • Experience with accelerator, incubator or investor community
  • Well networked in the startup ecosystem and a regular at key startup events
  • Overseas experience of studying or working
  • Chinese native speaker with fluent English
