Merchant Acquisition Business Development Manager

DEPARTMENT: Merchant Business

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Merchant Acquisition Business Development Manager is dedicated to build and develop relationships with merchants across all channels including offline and online to enhance company ecosystem, expand brand visibility, drive profitable growth and achieve revenue goals by deepening existing relationships in assigned portfolio of merchants and acquire new business by utilizing effective sales and accounts management techniques.



  • Identify potential opportunities that utilize company solutions/infrastructure to acquire new merchants, and driving volumes from the new sales
  • Responsible for portfolio growth through an aggressive merchant acquisition, sales and relationship management activities
  • Influence customer decisions, work in partnership with the customer as a problem solver by clearly identifying the needs that will influence customer's decision
  • Partner with third party i.e. ISV, DSA, PSP in terms of new merchant acquisition and developing merchant relationships   
  • Develop in-depth understanding of the marketplace and competitive
  • Manage an effective pipeline of opportunities



  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a financial industry or E-Wallet or E-Commerce business
  • Good sales acumen and proven track records of accounts and business growth
  • Good relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills     
  • Knowledge of external insights & competitive landscape
  • Fluency in English with strong business writing skills   
  • Working knowledge of Merchant Acquiring and Credit Card business (preferred)
