Growing Non-Fuels Retailing (NFR) to 50% of the total Retail portfolio is a strategic mission for Retail in Thailand and globally. This more balanced portfolio would Create a strategic competitive advantage for the business to compete in a future market environment. The business, therefore, requires a business leader that can chart a new future for Convenience Retail, Food, and Car servicing and lead a highly motivated non-fuels retail (known in Thailand market as “non-oil” businesses/ NFR) professional.

What’s the role?
The person is expected to develop new strategies, enhance existing tactics, and flawlessly implement NFR plans for the market unit. She/he must also lead, coach & direct the implementation of all NFR activities at market unit level that ensures a competitive advantage for Retail, with the support from sub-functional team leaders at the market level and to ensure the delivery of a holistic and impactful NFR plan to deliver the total T&R plan. Efficient delivery would only be possible with good end-to-end implementation planning and inclusive working together with the frontline including Retailers and Area Offices.
Play a key role in the Market Retail Management Team to guide future business development and deliver market level business results. The person is expected to be a team player, not maximizing NFR in isolation but able to integrate the total Retail business, even exploring and finding opportunities to create additional value in the wider Downstream and total Shell Thailand.
Keeping pace with the changing demands of the Convenience Retail and other non-fuels retailing business requires:
Expand Point-of-Sales and ‘footprints’ within and beyond the existing network
Achieve exponential sales through appropriate shop offers and promotion for targeted customer segments
Ensure flawless and competitive centralized supply chain operation and NFR operational excellence
Explore innovation solution to capture future growth
Ultimately, she/he will be responsible for developing and managing the team with the appropriate expertise and capability to compete effectively with other Convenience Retailers not only in the petromart channel but also the wider competitors.
What we need from you
Experience and Qualifications required
More than 10 years of experiences in Convenience Retailing (CR)/ Non-Oil Retailing, Transformation Leader in Retail or experienced in start-up Convenience Retailing and Non-Oil Retailing
Candidates must have substantial end-to-end Retail knowledge, together with experience in Category Management / Retail Implementation
