Plant Financial Controller

This is a great opportunity to join a very well established MNC that prides itself on being able to deliver the right solution to the customer through its extensive R&D, development, and global manufacturing network. In this role as Plant Controller you will be responsible for all plant based financial control and reporting. Working as a Business Partner to the MD/Operations of the plant and as a part of Global Finance this is a key position for the continued success of my clients APAC operations. The successful individual will provide the expertise and management to ensure financial KPI's on cost and performance are meet across the site. As a key Business Partner, this role will ensure accurate inventory valuation and analysis and make financial recommendations for plant performance against budgets and forecasts.


  • Lead the financial oversight of the Sites manufacturing KPIs and costing. 
  • Significant input into annual planning and budgeting processes including setting operational targets.
  • Support Plant Operations for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Lead and develop a highly efficient and successful site financial team.
  • Monitor manufacturing control effectiveness and develop/execute improvement plans to assure accurate financial reporting including inventory valuation.
  • Act as site compliance officer on KYC/KYS/AML or other group compliance policies and ensure legal, tax, customs and other compliance
  • Work with Operation team Owners to get an understanding of performance.  Lead budget variance commentary and reporting.  
  • Assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures.

What you will be bring to the role

  • At least 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis for an MNC organisation with exposure to regional/global business activities
  • The experience and ability to lead an established financial team and to effectively report to key internal stakeholders globally
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or CPA
  • Prior experience of working as part of a fast-paced manufacturing environment 
  • Strong exposure to financial control; budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
  • Knowledge of treasury, tax, and transfer pricing.
