HESS Representative / Safety Officer

For day to day health, environment, safety and security issues, Base HESS Representatives report to the HESS Manager, who has overall responsibility for health, environment, safety and security (HESS) issues.


  • Conduct the base/facility health, safety and environment induction training for all new staff. 
  • Conduct (or delegate other base personnel to conduct) the base HESS inspections and ensure regular worksite inspections and audits, makes assessments, reviews and evaluates Occupational Health and Safety Programs, and provides recommendations to improve the internal responsibility system within the workplace;
  • Conduct (or delegate other personnel to conduct) the base/facility HESS meeting as instructed by the Safety Manager, including a review of the base Aspects Registers.
  • Maintain any required licenses for the facility for (example Hazardous substances, explosives)
  • Maintain safety bulletin boards and base safety centre.
  • Disseminate HESS references and material, as instructed by the Safety Manager.
  • Conduct injury/incident investigations, as directed and complete the process for close out of all Accident Investigation Reports.
  • Facilitate the reporting of HESS occurrences and incidents by providing employees with SMS Pro training, follow up and ongoing assistance.
  • Coordinate risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses, either as directed or as needs arise.
  • By effort and example, enlist the cooperation of employees to ensure complete compliance with the TAS Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policy and keep senior management informed on all matters relating to health, safety, environment and quality.
  • Coordinate all matters relating to safety survival equipment in conjunction with the base responsible person, including the monitoring of the location of equipment.
  • Advise the Base Manager on matters concerning SMS at the base.
  • Act as employee advocate for safety and environment issues.
  • Carry out drills as required.
  • Implement update and monitoring BOSS cards.
  • Other duties as assignment.



  • Male/ Female, Thai nationality
  • Bachelor’s Degree, in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment or with a Professional Safety Certificate
  • At least 3 years working experience in managing safety & environmental duties for HESS Representative / 5 years working experience in managing safety & environmental duties for Senior HESS Representative.
  • Strong passion in HESS
  • Good command in English both written and spoken
  • Good Computer literacy (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels as well as across various functional groups
  • Teaching & good presentation skills and effective problem solving
  • Able to work independently and under pressured environment
