Business Analyst (Insurance/Banking)

As a Business Analyst (Insurance/Banking) you will help our clients in the Thai insurance or banking industry to analyse strategic & operational business issues and develop processes and technology solutions that solve these pain points. Therefore, Business Analysts require a very good understanding of both banking and/or insurance business models as well as IT processes. We carry out all projects at our clients’ office and add value by the quality and creativity of our analysis, by addressing the real underlying issues and by defining executable transformation plans. Our consultants are our greatest asset, and we show this by providing a local and international training and mentoring program.

Main responsibilities are:

  • Define Project Requirements: 
    • Understand and assess the current situation of business processes, procedures, methods and system functionality to advise on a recommended solution and possible alternatives
    • Partner with business units to initiate enhancement requirements for all areas (e.g. IT enhancement, Process Improvement)
    • Facilitate /Prepare cost & benefit justification (Business case) 
    • Gather user requirements for system development which consists of process flow, functions, screen and system outputs
    • Provide user requirement reports, documents and correspondence
    • Walkthrough requirements and seek for sign off
    • Walkthrough requirements with designers/ developers to ensure the understanding and provide the proper solution to users
    • Coordinate with relevant parties for design and development
    • Monitor to ensure the achievement of requirements according to project timeframe and quality
  • Define User Acceptance Testing: 
    • Define and plan for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) criteria and activities
    • Assist business users to develop test scenarios and cases for UAT activities
    • Act as a middle person to communicate between users and designers / developers
    • Record the test results, define the improvement areas and ensure the readiness for implementation
    • Track and ensure that all UAT activities are completed within project timeframe
    • Plan and prepare user manuals and training materials
    • Conduct training sessions and transfer knowledge to the relevant parties


  • Degree majoring in Information Technology, Business Administration, Economics, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, or other related field
  • 4 years of experience as business analyst, preferably in the insurance, banking and/or consulting industry and with good level of understanding of core business processes in these industries

  • Capable of applying technology principles to business

  • Excellent spoken and written English & Thai; Thai citizenship
Highly analytical and structured in problem solving; able to quickly understand complex situations
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with clients and colleagues

  • Possess entrepreneurial spirit and creativity
