Clinical Data Assistant



The Clinical Trials Support Group (CTSG) is a group that supports researchers by assisting with protocol development, ethics applications, quality monitoring, training, data management, statistical analyses and other administrative support.



  • Perform data entry into an electronic clinical study database
  • Assist in maintaining clinical trial data accuracy through review of case report forms for completeness and consistency
  • Carry out data checking and cleaning processes of study data according to SOPs and data management requirement
  • Assist in entering data into the unit’s integrated research information system
  • Perform related duties as required by managers

Essential Criteria

  • 1-3 years’ work experience, preferably in data entry or office management
  • Experience in a clinical research environment will be an added advantage
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office( Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work unsupervised (after appropriate training) taking responsibility for own actions or as part of a team taking instruction from others
  • Enthusiastic, organized and attentive to detail
  • Can work precisely according to procedures, rules and regulations

 Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in Clinical Data Management
  • Experience in using electronic clinical data management systems

Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU) is a medical research collaboration between the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, the University of Oxford, and the Wellcome Trust (UK). Our main research interests are the epidemiology, diagnosis, pathophysiology and treatment of malaria, scrub typhus, melioidosis, leptospirosis and other tropical infections which impose a substantial disease burden on rural populations throughout this populous region. MORU is looking for enthusiastic people to join our team.
