 Clinical Research Associate 

Tasks

A person is required to support GCP conduct of MORU studies (site monitoring, investigator support and ethics committee coordination) and fulfil obligation to track all MORU research. This will encompass a broad range of tasks that will result in valuable experience in the science and management of clinical trials and studies as well as scientific writing. Depending on the experience and interests of the post holder, there will also be the opportunity to develop proposals independently. 

 

Responsible for operations management for assigned study(ies), tasks may include:

  •  Manage one or more research studies conducted within MORU
  • Support development of the protocols, information sheets, consent forms and other associated documents related to the research projects assigned
  • Conduct literature searches and participate in the development of the research studies assigned
  • Conduct site visits including monitoring visits to provide support to sites and ensure compliance to the protocol, guidelines and regulations
  • Submits applications to ethics committees and, where relevant, the Thai FDA for import licence
  • Handle communications with ethics committees including amendment requests, annual reports, serious adverse event reports and end of trial reports for studies assigned
  • Assist with the writing of papers and documents
  • Performs other duties as assigned 

  Essential Criteria 

  • Advanced degree in clinical or life sciences-related field (relevant professional experience may be considered)
  • 4+ years’ experience with clinical research e.g. project manager, monitor, working for a CRO, drug company or non-profit research organization
  • Willing to travel frequently within Thailand and internationally as required
  • Strong spoken and written ability in both English and Thai
  • Familiar with Thai and international guidelines and regulations for clinical research
  • IT skills – (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  •  Strong organisational and problem solving skills, including high attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and present to external groups
