Key Account Manager

The incumbent, working very closely with Head of Modern Trade, Brand team and Field Operation teams, is to develop customer relationship with K/A. This incumbent will focus specifically on all aspects of customer relationship, category management, business planning, selling and negotiation plan development, customer performance evaluation, and distribution related issues. This position will have to develop plans to cope with highly competitive and ever changing market environments.

Main Areas of Responsibility

  • Work in close collaboration with the respective managers of Brand Team, Strategic Insight Team and Field Operations Team in order to ensure alignment of consumer, trade, channel and distribution plans, and ensure the development of integrated activities.
  • Translate portfolio, brand and trade strategy into detailed account plans including account prioritization, category management, and distribution in line with KPIs.  Develop appropriate programmes that best deliver on the brands 'objectives. 
  • Define spending allocations and across customers in order to meet Sales Target and brand objectives, track performance (account P&L) and budgets against agreed strategies and recommends corrective action when necessary.
  • Provide input for strategies and programmes development to best deliver on the brands’ objectives.
  • In close liaison with Market intelligence and the Research Group, utilize the acquired data to understand what is happening in the market, what the competition is doing, what trends are emerging in the market-place, in order to develop the most effective plans within the confines of legislation.
  • Develop evaluation metrics before programme implementation, monitor real-time programme effectiveness and measure post event programme effectiveness. Combine activity and programme level evaluation, capture best practices and provide to market intelligence & share across C&TM functions.
  • Oversee the management of business partnerships with key accounts to define plans in order to achieve KPI and plan objectives.
  • Collect competitive / account information to develop K/A strategy and investment allocation across KA in order to meet Sales Target and brand strategy.

Requirements

  • Preferably university graduate
  • 3-5 years experience in FMCG sales functions, good commercial mindset, K/A management, trade & financial planning skills, understanding of direct marketing (incl. consumer relationship marketing), Trade marketing skills and distribution planning to increase distribution efficiency. Good external relations
  • Fluent both in Thai and English. Familiar with MS applications and operations.
