Marketing Assistant (CRM) (1-year contract)


We want to fill this position with an inspiring and business-minded marketing professional who can support us in securing the IKEA brand and our overall vision of “creating a better everyday life for the many people”.

Your assignment
  • You have 1 year of experience in marketing, preferably in communications and loyalty branding. (Fresh graduate is also welcome)
  • You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • You must be able to speak and understand English and the local language
  • You must possess an analytical mind and much attention to detail. Someone interested in numbers and CRM is essential.
  • Self-reliant and motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • You share our belief that customer loyalty is a key to business success, and are passionate in home furnishings and/or retail.
  • You enjoy interacting with people, speak & write well, have a flair for design, meticulous, curious, persistent and humble.
  • Problem-solving, working with numbers & Microsoft Excel comes naturally to you.
  • You are able to create and develop content using Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign.
  • You are self-motivated, responsible and have a strong desire to initiate learning, and apply acquired new skills and knowledge. The ability to focus while multi-tasking will serve you well.


How is the job?

  • You report to the Country Marketing Manager, and work closely with a team of Loyalty Branding persons across the region (Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand) in a matrix structure as well as working with agency.
  • You are responsible for recruit, activate and retain IKEA FAMILY/ småles members through an intimate understanding of the market and IKEA FAMILY/ småles members.
  • Deliver relevant direct communications to IKEA småles members through an effective and cost-efficient channel. Engage IKEA småles members and aim to convert them into lifelong IKEA fans.
  • You will liaise with various parties, such as IT, CRM vendor or Customer Relations teams, on day-to-day operation matters. Including member’s offers, partnerships, events, and plan/develop content for direct communications e.g. welcome packs, newsletters, emails, website, etc.
  • Localise content for marketing communications related to the småles programme, and support marketing communications related to the IKEA FAMILY programme.
  • Work on other tasks and projects as assigned that will contribute to the development of IKEA retail operations.
