Piping Engineer


  • Provision a range of specialist technical services within the engineering disciplines of piping under the supervision and direction of the Senior Piping Engineer

Areas of Responsibilities:
1. Detailed Engineering and Design
- Perform detailed drawings and design
- Perform Engineering Calculation, Engineering Drawings, MTO, Specification, Basis of Design Report, etc.
- Prepare technical queries and deviation to specifications
- Vendor Data Review and prepare Summary of Bids

2. Project Management
- Accountable for all related design and engineering activities of assigned project
- Support implementation of project engineering as per execution plan
- Timely delivery within budget
- Identify, project risks & opportunities
- To support Management of engineering changes
- Ensure smooth teamwork and client satisfaction
- Client interfaces e.g. day-to-day activities, weekly/monthly meetings
- Reporting

3. Project Procurement
- Prepare specifications and material take-offs for project piping materials
- Follow-up with vendors and suppliers as required to ensure technical compliance with required standards
- Ensure appropriate QC and QA is applied to procured materials to verify compliance with client requirements and design intents

4. Construction /Offshore Services
- Provide technical assistance as and when required
- To support Resolution of technical queries

5. Other Functions - Quality Assurance /Quality Control
- Ensure internal QA/QC procedures are adhered to during the performance of design and procurement tasks
- Review piping engineering, fabrication and installation related

- Bachelor Degree or higher in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering or relevant discipline.
- With 5 years’ experience in offshore & onshore oil & gas industry particular to piping design and engineering. Experience in Modules for refinery and plant, and Wind Farm is an advantage.
- Knowledge of design, fabrication and installation of offshore & onshore piping.
- Knowledge of current design codes, recommended practices such as API, AISC, DNV, ABS, ANSI/ASME, ISO, EN codes.
- Familiar with piping analysis program, i.e. CAESARII and etc.

- Able to work under pressure
- Able to work both individually and as a team member
- Able to lead project and act as a technical authority.
