Trade Marketing Manager

1. Retail Category Manager (Trade Marketing)

Reports to:  Retail Category Marketing Manager - Personal Care

Location:     Bangkok, Thailand

Job Summary:  

Own Category growth by Channel,  Category/brand message/Brand communication with shoppers. 

Be responsible for :

  • Growth ideas for responsible categories by channel
  • Guideline for Assortment & Placement & POP / communication in-store
  • Go-to-Market plan/selling story

Role & Responsibility:

  • Develop & implement activity ideas to drive growth for category/brand in each channel.
  • Implement analysis required for category review, by channel
  • Develop Assortment Strategy – by channel.
  • Develop Placement Strategy – merchandising guideline & planogram, by channel & by customer.
  • Adapt communication materials for all touch points.
  • Develop budget guideline – covering brand activity, joint-business-planning/shopper programs. (Allocate in-store investment & media vehicles across customers )
  • Go-to-Market plan - based on input from marketing, develop ‘category/channel-oriented’ go-to-market process & selling story. Also tracking performance of new product launch during the first 3 months.
  • Be a part of joint-business-planning process
  • Internal – customize category/brand insight from Mktg to be ‘by channel’, with adding on growth activity idea. 
  • External - attend the meeting with customer, present Category & Brand growth plan and actively participate in discussion.
  •  Qualification:

    • Work experience in Brand Marketing  Management , and/or Trade Marketing / Shopper Development experience in FMCG sector.
    • Skills in Communication , Influence/Negotiation, Consumer/Customer focussed, Teamwork & Collaboration
    • Consumer & Shopper Insight, Category Management, Trade Understanding
    • Good in English /  Strong English presentation

    2.Shopper Development Manager (MT)

    Report to : Team Leader (Modern Trade)

    Location:     Bangkok, Thailand

    ** This position is a mixture between Trade Marketing, Channel marketing, Sales data analysis.  You will work as the brain of Sales Team; analyse data & trends, turn insights into business opportunity, engage with customer. 

    Core Responsibilities

    • Own of  shopper/category insight ‘by  customer/channel’
    • Own 5P by customer/channel
    • Work with Sales Team  who execute agreed brand activities and category platforms in own customer/channel

    Responsibilities

    • Develop Category  Strategy (and channel strategy – for Modern Trade) , including
      • Category objectives & strategies (growth driver) for customer,
      • Tailor 5P Strategy to fit with specific customer
      • Shopper solution / breakthrough initiative
      • Category promo trend review and evaluation.
    • Develop Assortment by customer for Modern Trade, Retail, Supermarket, CVS, Shopper Development Manager with commercial team support
    • Execute ‘at customer level’  each Retail Category Manager –generated  growth activity  idea ie.  provide estimate of premium required
    • Lead & execute for  ‘by-customer’  shopper program -  GTM / selling story  / IMC / KV  & POP development /  ROI evaluation.
    • Conduct Category review  - 2 way.
    • Review category/brand performance vs plan across all KPI ( SOM , Distribution, Sales , Shopper KPIs )  and recommend corrective actions, both internal (via monthly discipline) & external (meeting with customer)

    Qualification

    Education

    • Master or Bachelor Degree in business or related field. 

    Experience

    • Essential: Trade Marketing / Shopper Development experience in FMCG sector
    • Desirable: Channel / Category Management  experience in indirect trade

    Generic Competencies

    • Essential : Communication, Planning & Priority Setting, Teamwork & Collaboration , Influence/Negotiation.
    • Desirable: Fostering Experimentation, Driving Innovation , Strategic Thinking and English proficiency.

    Functional Competencies

    • Essential: Trade Understanding, Data Analytic ,   Category Management, Consumer & Shopper Insight, Promotional Effectiveness , English proficiency.
    • Desirable: Business & Financial Analysis, Supply Chain perspective.
