Business Scope: Thailand

Location: Chiang Rai Thailand

 An organic rice Snacks factory is looking to hire a Plant Manager for its new rice cracker and Snacks production unit based at ChiangRai to lead and manage a team of 20-40 employees   with extension plan.

The Plant Manager will have to report to the Chief of Operations in Chiang Rai, and work closely with him to develop the production strategy of the plant. He will also be in charge of the, GMP,HACCP,BRC and other international food safety compliance of the plant.


  • BSC degree in food  science or Technology
  • 5+ years experience in the Rice Crackers/cake/snacks manufacturing process and adequate knowledge of Rice snacks manufacturing process.
  • Knowledge about other food process is highly valued
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources, supply chain)
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes.
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
  • Language: English and Thai, spoken and written


  • Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
  • Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards as per parameters given by our R& D and qualities team
  • Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
  • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
  • Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
  • Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff
  • Collect and analyses data to find places of waste or overtime
  • Commit to production safety procedures
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
  • Address employees’ issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreement
  • Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts


  • Salary: Based on experience
  • Probation period: 4 months
