IT Help Desk Specialist

Job Purpose/Role

 The Help Desk specialist is responsible for:

  • Being the first point of contact to users for queries related to IT
  • Maintaining the daily performance of IT Services (computers, email, network etc)
  • Providing technical assistance to users for incidents / problems

Key activities covers not limited to:

  • Lead the resolution of incidents / queries assigned
  • Respond to users queries in person or over the phone
  • Coordinate with internal / external partners to resolve incidents / problems /queries
  • Follow-up with users for incidents / problem / queries until resolution
  • Supporting local IT projects when required (eg office relocation, laptop refresh etc)
  • Identifying possible improvements for the delivery of IT Services to local users
  • Performing some maintenance tasks such as:
    • Managing user information and permission in MS Active Directory
    • Managing local servers / VM
    • Maintaining IT software/hardware inventory
    • Configuration of the telephony system and device

 His/hers scope of work and expertize covers among others:

  • Computer systems, software, and hardware (eg laptops, computer peripherals, etc)
  • Technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN)
  • Telephony systems etc


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an IT Support role
  • Good general knowledge of IT systems
  • Knowledge in telephony technology is a plus
  • Experience with Network Repairs and Analysis is a plus
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems
  • Ability to communicate both in Thai and English effectively to help customers fix their issues and feel satisfied with the experience
  • Team player and able to work autonomously
  • Open and eager to learn new things
  • Strong accountability and customer oriented mindset
