Land Acquisition Manager (Retail)
Responsibilities:
  • Locating and acquiring new sites (SMALL format).
  • Supporting the company’s business by following strategic growth requirements for long-term planning and to meet our customer’s needs.
  • Negotiating terms and conditions and being involved in development planning with Property Research and all other concerned departments. Dealing with the site contracts and handing-over the site to the Construction team. Coordinating with the Legal team to make sure all conditions comply with the company's standard terms and conditions.
  • Supporting the Asset team in lease renewal, rent reduction, and impairment.
  • Acquiring sites which are complementary to the strategy and long-term plan.
  • Balancing quality and best value acquisitions.
  • Negotiating and delivering the best prices and conditions for sites, on time and within budget.
  • Negotiating the best and most flexible contracts which minimize risk to the company.
  • Improving the capability of the team by coaching and training them to achieve their goals.
  • Managing various additional projects as assigned.
  • Developing and leading a high performing team, giving them the opportunities to be their best.
  • Forecasting and managing budgets.
  • Following Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • At least 2 years land acquisition experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a customer service mind.
  • A logical thinker.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize work, and work under pressure.
  • Good command of English.
  • Able to travel alone.
