Accounting Manager (Retail Business)

Objective of the Job  

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overall financial close, reporting and statutory audit, oversee all process improvement, policy and internal control implementation and ensure accurate and timely submission of results for Thailand entity. This position is managing a team of accounting associates and is responsible to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.    


  • Overseeing full aspects of accounting functions, policies and processes and ensure compliance with Company accounting policies and local accounting standard.  
  • Ensure timely closing, preparation and submission of financial statements, corporate tax return and ensure compliance with local regulations of the Revenue and Tax departments.  
  • Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting to Head office.  
  • Lead statutory audit and tax reporting ensure compliance with local accounting standard and tax law.  
  • Manage duty filing with local custom department to ensure compliance with local custom law.  
  • Review consignment process to ensure all consignment transactions are appropriately accounted for and comply with Thai accounting principle and Thai tax law.  
  • Maintain sound and effective internal controls. Develop and maintain all necessary manuals associated with accounting processes and controls.  
  • Participate in yearly budgeting process.  
  • Analyze costs and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis and highlight to management for potential issues/risks that impacting business and financial.  
  • Maintain good partner relationship with bankers.  
  • Liaise with authorized agents on tax, legal and corporate secretarial matters to ensure compliance with local business law.  
  • Manage payroll outsourced provider to complete monthly payroll process and submission such as tax submission, social security, provident fund, other related payroll filing in adherence to local statutory requirements.  
  • Administer employee health, welfare and benefits programs and support the handling of related claims.  


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting   
  • At least 8 years of professional working experience in finance/accounting role with at least 3 years in managerial role  
  • CPD is a must  
  • Have strong accounting practices and tax knowledge  
  • Good communication skills in both Thai and English  
  • Good planning and priority setting skills  
  • Strong leadership, team-building and motivational skills  
  • Strong negotiating, facilitating and influencing skills
