Sales Manager (Medical Devices)
  • Guiding team members and setting up detailed account-wide plans to achieve the organization’s sales and profitability results.
  • Enabling team members to achieve their own goals and team goals aligned with the organization’s must-wins.
  • Developing, maintaining and strengthen long term favorable customer relationships with various stakeholders in important accounts.
  • Facilitating best practice sharing and continuous learning within the team.
  • Being a mentor for team members for achieving desired results within given resources.
  • Developing team members to be able to manage higher responsibilities.
  • Developing/implementing an efficient distribution network for assigned geography and accounts.
  • Ensuring distributor performance is compliant and as per agreed guidelines.
  • Collecting various data reports (secondary, inventory, etc.) from channel partners as required by the organization.
  • Developing sales plans with Channel Management and collaborating with them to achieve organizational goals.
  • Being the “face of the company” for customers by providing regular communications, addressing concerns, registering complaints, and leveraging opportunities to deliver customer satisfaction.
  • Working in compliance and an ethical manner; always adhering to company policies & local regulations.
  • Gathering various sales and market data and sharing within the organization at a set frequency.
  • Continuously improving product knowledge and selling related skills to provide better value to customers.
  • Working with various teams to achieve individual and team goals – working with internal and external partners to be able to serve customers’ needs.
  • Sharing best practices within the organization and participating in organizational activities.
  • Managing samples and sales-related expenses within the agreed forecast and/or guidelines.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant healthcare sales experience (medical devices/specialized pharma) working across various stakeholders (clinicians, hospital administrators, procurement teams, etc.).
  • People management experience of at least a year.
  • Experience in selling orthopedic and general surgery medical devices is a plus.
  • The candidate should have excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to handle communication across levels of various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a dynamic work environment while taking ownership.
  • Ability to be flexible and versatile in handling relevant mandates as assigned by the organization.
  • Results-focused, ability to deliver results by adopting a flexible, innovative, and compliant approach.
  • Must be familiar with and be able to use Excel, PPT, and other MS Office products.
