Marketing Director

Job Summary 

The role is to raise the visibility of VERSO and build the VERSO brand as one of the world’s  top tier international schools by formulating marketing and communications strategies and carrying out an effective marketing and communications plan


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Planning and Monitoring

  • Formulate VERSO holistic marketing and communications strategy supported by sound market intelligence, competitive environment and consumer insights/trends.
  • Set targets, formulate marketing and communications plans, identify effective marketing channels, materials and activities, prepare budgets in line with the set strategy and seek approval from the management.
  • Oversee, monitor and report performance and budget utilization to the management on a regular basis.

Marketing and Communications Execution 

  • Oversee content management and ensure alignment with the marketing and communications strategy for all media and channels.
  • Identify effective marketing and communications channels and execute activities to serve marketing and communications objectives and recruitment activities.
  • Implement and monitor all advertisements and media to support marketing and recruitment activities.
  • Oversee the production of marketing collateral, published materials and merchandise for VERSO programmes and activities.
  • Prepare presentation materials for marketing and recruitment activities such as road-shows, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, VERSO Open House events, and business partnerships.
  • Oversee the effective and efficient execution of marketing and communications plans by both in-house and outsourced members.

Teamwork and Team Management

  • Work closely with the VERSO Learning Design Team and the school’s Admissions Team to identify contents and activities that lead to successful student registration as per the target.
  • Lead, coach and develop Marketing team members in order to perform the work assigned with accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management or equivalent.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Solid professional experiences and proven track record of success in Marketing roles; any experiences in the education industry would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of digital tools, platforms and channels and good understanding of emerging technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with management and various stakeholders.
  • Creative and strategic thinker.
  • Resourceful, flexible and able to handle pressure and changes in business directions efficiently.
  • Strong leadership skills and able to motivate and develop team to deliver the desired results.
