Purchasing Manager (Middle level)

Salary 50-60K

Supplier Development

  • To ensure sourcing compliance regarding pre-qualification and onboarding processes
  • To coordinate with suppliers the negotiated terms, and consolidate qualitative and quantitative data analysis
  • To monitor supplier service to all contracts and act on any complaints received from contracts;
  • To attend Monthly review meeting with the Management and Operations Directors;
  • To monitor the Company’s forecast and other Purchasing statistics;
  • To work closely with the Company’s Accounts Department, ensuring all rebates are claimed as scheduled;
  • To issue material such as supplier listings and lists of products supplied on and exclusive basis.
  • To manage supplier performance including reviews, monitoring, reporting and ensuring compliance with all contractual commitments.
  • To work collaboratively with key supplier to the benefit of both parties, driving continuous improvement and lowering total cost of ownership.

Purchasing process

  • To organize and standardize the procurement process to be effective and comply with company policies
  • To consolidate the number of suppliers and develop key suppliers.
  • To ensure all procurement records are maintained and kept up to date, aligned with company policies and procedures, for the use of product cost follow-up and ERP system management.
  • To source for new suppliers for high value or high volume products.

Contract management

  • To prepare and propose to Top management the contracts and commercial terms with suppliers including long term purchasing agreements.
  • To manage contract renewal in a regular basis.

Cost reduction

  • To identify cost saving opportunities by searching and selecting reliable sources.
  • To work with operational managers to propose a value-engineering program to minimize the supply chain costs.

Key Competencies:

  • Degree in Commerce / Business / Supply chain Management and/or Economics or equivalent;
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in purchasing and forecasting;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Good command of English
  • Strong leadership skills
  • High degree of proven negotiating skills;
  • Data base management (ERP);
  • Report writing and data reporting;
  • Knowledge of manufacturers;
  • A team player attitude, with an understanding of the difference between cooperation and team work;
  • Good facilitator skills, with the ability to achieve desired outcomes and results
  • An ability to effective communicate with people throughout the industry.
