General Manager - Operations
Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Operations Director, this person will be chiefly responsible for the overall decision making in the plant and how that effects the performance of the business.
  • Managing the production and operations across the factory floor to meet the requirements of a wide range of clients across the world.
  • Improving all aspects of the manufacturing process to optimize quality, service and costs.
  • Designing and implementing new ideas and processes to enhance the current operations and products.
  • Managing the supply chain process in line with the needs of customers to comply with legal/ISO regulations.
  • Overseeing the quality in production, process flow and finished products to reduce defect rates.
  • Planning manpower and developing the team to produce a strong succession of managers and improve the process of knowledge transfer.
  • Working and developing new product designs to meet the changing demands of the market.
Qualifications
  • A Thai national with a strong engineering background, with experience in the manufacture of metal, glass or other related products and has worked at least 5 years in management roles.
  • Experience of managing a factory or plant of at least 100 people and 300m Baht + revenue.
  • Must possess a good variety of production management experience (process, flow, supply chain, quality, manpower planning).
  • Comfortable with cost management, budgeting/planning and has competent finance skills.
  • Experience of implementing Lean / Six Sigma principles would be a definite advantage.
  • A hands-on manager who can balance his/her time between the factory floor, innovating and planning and also traveling across the region to meet key customers/suppliers.
  • A sincere and flexible leader who wants to get results, but is also strong on people development and can balance the needs of both the business and its customers.
