Senior Engineering Manager (Manufacturing Experience)
  • The Senior Engineering Manager is responsible for safety leadership and all facility & utility operations, including new product equipment, maximizing machine productivity, and uptime.
  • Developing and managing of all engineering and maintenance activities, with the safety of associates being the highest priority.
  • Leading preventive & predictive maintenance/process reliability.
  • Managing the improvement of key performance indicators, the continuous improvement of maintenance functions, and department budget cost effectiveness.
  • Developing and training technicians, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Participating in, and/or leading initiatives for capital projects and problem-solving activities.
  • Facilitating team meetings & training.
  • Identifying safety, environmental, quality & production issues.
  • Providing leadership for the ongoing development of the organization, as well as the strategic development of individual talent for succession planning.
  • Maintaining a long-term big picture view to forecast obstacles and opportunities for training and developing skills to enhance team performance.
  • Encourage innovation among associates within the department.
  • Leading the team by proactively resolving employee issues, building a team work mentality, and ensuring adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Leading the development and implementation of a project, and a coordinated set of plans and programs to meet the requirements and priorities of the firm.
  • Facilitating the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements by resolving or assisting in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects of functional areas.
  • Developing methods to monitor projects to ensure on time delivery and the meeting of client requirements in relation to satisfaction levels and budgets.
  • Conveying goals and objectives clearly to the Engineering team.
  • Providing a clear direction of new developments related to cost saving and process improvement (midterm and long term goals).
  • Actively participating in cross functional groups to solve problems. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering.
  • 8+ years working experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive, composite parts, or related products.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in project and engineering functions from a multi-national manufacturer.
  • Experience in project leading is essential.
  • Strong project management skills, including sponsor knowledge and risk management.
  • Ability to recognize problems and identify solutions using a systematic and multi-step approach.
  • A decision maker with the ability to take actions in the pursuit of priorities.
  • Target–oriented and cost-conscious.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
