Factory Manager for Starch Manufacturing (Based at Northeastern Thailand)
Our client is a leading starch manufacturing company in Thailand. The company provides a wide range of starch products including modified starch, tapioca starch and noodle product. Now, the company is seeking for a suitable candidate for the position of Factory Manager to be based and in charged for the plant operation in Northeastern of Thailand.

Job Description:
  • Overseeing the plant operations of the starch production plant in Northeastern of Thailand.
  • Overseeing the production processes, planning and organizing production schedules and organizing workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.
  • Handling & managing pre-production, production and post-production issues, as well as other issues as assigned.
  • Managing and leading all manufacturing activities, including production planning, interdepartmental coordination, quality control, procurement, and maintenance.
  • Controlling budgets and exercising control over capital and operating expenditure.
  • Ensuring that production activities are maintained at a high level of productivity and that continuous improvement is sought and a proper preventive maintenance system is established and implemented.
  • Managing resource and raw material planning.
  • Ensuring that quality and environmental management system requirements are established.
  • Involving in the meetings with the R&D to clarify and improve product specifications and quality standards, as well as identifying training needs, and assessing the need for better tools, etc.
  • Ensuring that the plant operation and production are cost-effective and setting quality standards for the factory and production process.
  • Monitoring product standards, implementing quality-control programs and determining quality control standards.
  • Liaising with different departments, including suppliers, buyers, sales, marketing team, R&D team, quality team, warehouse & logistics team, etc.
  • Working with the management team to implement the company's policies and goals.
  • Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed.
  • Supervising and evaluating the performance of the operation team.
Qualifications:
  • Male or female, aged 37 years and above with a mature personality & mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Food Science, Food Production, Food Technology, Industrial Engineer or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Starch Operation or in Food industry, food processing and related and must be experienced in leadership/management roles.
  • Excellent understanding of food quality & food safety standards especially well as health & safety regulations
  • Good communication and proficiency in English skills, verbal and written
  • Must be excellent leadership skills and the ability to set quality standards, and to lead and motivate a team
  • Computer skills in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • Solid experience in food production management.
  • Must be able to be based at operation site in Northeastern of Thailand.
  • Must be able to work from Monday to Friday and every other Saturday.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with people at all levels and experience in a team-oriented environment is required.
  • Must be hands-on and have a service mind. Be proactive with the ability to perform well under pressure.
