Fleet Tire Testing Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic objective and subjective tests as well as open road treadwear operations (incl. vehicle preparation and instrumentation) following Product Evaluation Procedures and Quality system, in line with the company Safety and Environmental policy
  • Generate accurate test, calibration and measurement reports on a timely basis
  • Provide daily NVH test engineering support to road tire testing operations (incl. maintain/develop an adequate level of NVH data acquisition and post-processing system for objective NVH testing in track operations; assure quality monitoring of standard NVH tests, incl. ref. tire monitoring, correlation, and test variation assessments)
  • Administrate, maintain (incl. calibration – ISO 17025) and upgrade measurement equipment (HW and SW) according to Product Evaluation Quality System and Best Practices
  • Troubleshoot issues during test campaigns (also at customer site)
  • Support and backup Thai fleet manager for road treadwear operations (incl. safety and quality)
  • Support and back up Thai Fleet Manager in addressing company business needs such as product launching, training, services, joint test with OE and GIC*L (national and international)

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and above
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing and/or automotive testing (comfort, noise) and/or tire testing (open road, track) and/or NVH
  • Experienced test driver as an asset (OEM and/or aftermarket)
  • Knowledge in automotive and/or tire mechanics (Ex: engine functioning, suspension and chassis mechanism and related adjustments, etc.)
  • Knowledge in electronics, sensors and ability to use test instruments (incl. troubleshooting onsite, data acquisition via CAN, FlexRav) would be considered an asset
  • Excellent driving skills (with both Automatic and Manual gear-box).
  • Willing to be flexible in terms of working hours (incl. different shifts) and weekend, resilient to stress and fatigue, team player.
  • Ability to react to sudden changes and display a high degree of credibility, integrity, initiative, and enthusiasm
  • Good English communication skills both verbal and written
  • Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) would be considered as an asset
  • Knowledge in MS Office (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)
  • No pending limitation to obtain foreign VISAs (e.g. China, South Korea, Japan, EMEA, Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and etc.
  • Willing to travel 50% of the time both local and international
  • Amenable to work at Lampang
