Head of Finance
Responsibilities:

Customers
  • Overseeing timely debt collection and customer adherence to credit terms.
  • Supervising cash on delivery remittance process.
  • Managing risk and customer satisfaction between debt collection and COD management.
Vendors
  • Controlling the AP process and ensuring proper verifications and approval.
  • Overseeing the proper reconciliation of creditors’ statements of accounts to the creditors’ balances in the AP ledger and all discrepancies to be followed up and cleared.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and ensuring that the best credit terms and periods given to the company.
  • Working with all functions to prepare the annual budget.
  • Coordinating with sales function to prepare the monthly forecasts.
  • Being responsible for highlighting anomalies and variances against the approved budget.
  • Evaluating justification for unplanned items.
  • Ensuring that financial controls and procedures are effective and adequate for the accurate and timely preparation and submission of monthly financial and management reports to country management and the Regional Office.
  • Providing financial, legal and tax consultancy advice to drive strategic investment decisions.
Change management/Implementation
  • Leading deployment of standard finance and accounting processes and system to Country Domestic environment.
  • Managing deployment of newly developed Cash-on-Delivery processes and systems.
Management and Financial Reporting
  • Analyzing monthly financial results after the closure of accounts to explain variances.
  • Preparing a rolling forecast for the year and next 12 months based on history as well as sales expectations
  • Achieving monthly reporting of results and forecasting process and preparing monthly management reports to country management and Regional Office in accordance with the Regional Office’s policy.
  • Attending to and ensuring all external and internal audit queries or requests for information are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
  • Preparing and submitting any ad-hoc reports as required by country management and Regional Office and to attend to any queries raised.
Processes, Projects and Cost Management
  • Reviewing, defining and proposing changes and development to the finance work improvement processes.
  • Updating, reviewing and monitoring actual cost against budget, highlight and develop solutions on critical areas or areas requiring attention.
  • Overseeing project controlling within approved business case parameters.
People management
  • Developing a higher performance service culture within the finance department.
  • Being excellent in team management.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 12 years' experience in various general finance functions accompanied by a wide experience at a senior level in a service-oriented business.
  • Manages and leads teams through management experience across several areas within the finance function.
  • Experienced working with SAP FI/CO/SD/MM and group level reporting tools (Hyperion, BusinessObjects, TM1) essential.
  • Experienced with top 5 audit or consulting firms a significant advantage.
  • Cross-cultural working experience.
  • Work experience within MNC structure including global/regional structure and shared service center environments essential.
  • Professional accountancy qualification and university degree or equivalent (MBA, audit qualification).
  • Fluent (written and spoken) in English.
