Job title:              Art Creative Manager

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Direct, design, organize, plan, assign, and review work of graphic designers and the marketing services associate to ensure on brand deliverables
  • Prioritizing and managing work load with joint accountability to deliver assignments with the brand team working with a cloud-based digital proofing system
  • Translate client needs into compelling visual designs based on marketing objectives and strategic rationale
  • Work in collaboration with internal teams to conceptualize, design and execute campaign concepts and promotional pieces on a project by project basis
  • Serve as key point of contact for incoming creative services projects and working with a cloud-based digital proofing system
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and outside agency to ensure design consistency, on brand deliverables and on time project delivery
  • Train new marketing employees on creative process, digital proofing systems and manufacturer’s production process
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow and project management to maximize efficiencies on deliverables to internal teams without sacrificing quality aesthetics
  • Foster the existing digital proofing systems and processes to manage projects efficiently and effectively

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to direct, plan, assign, review and evaluate the work of direct reports
  • Highly organized with an emphasis on managing art timelines with Marketing, Sales, and Operations
  • Experience with managing an extremely high volume of design projects in a fast-paced environment across multiple media forms from conception to completion
  • Strong knowledge of graphic design practices, typography, procedures, and methods
  • Proven talent in copywriting
  • Strong working skills with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator. Final Cut/Pro, After Effects a plus
  • Successful experience with project timelines, backing out milestones based off set promotional timing and internal team calendar requirements
  • Strong communication and personal skills to foster positive and productive working relationships
  • Basic to intermediate skills in retouching, color correction and 3-D rendering
  • Strong presentation skills and effective communication
  • Knowledge of print production and industry terminology
  • Aware of current costs/expenditures for graphic design services
  • Knowledge of creating mock-up samples for Sales meetings

Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Graphic Design, Advertising, Marketing, related degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of internal or external advertising and design experience with project management
