Marketing Manager (International School)

The Magic Years Marketing Manager serves as a key resource on all aspects of school marketing, networking, publicity, and media relations. Working closely with the Admissions and Communications Manager, the Marketing Manager contributes to the development of the school’s marketing strategy to support the school’s growth agenda. In line with this, he/she is expected to develop and implement a multi-channel marketing plan which in turn should facilitate an increase in enrollment of at least 30 to 50 students during the next academic year.

Position requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing and/or Communications or any other relevant field
  • Native or near native English speaker, Thai language would be an additional asset
  • Successful prior experience in an international/independent school setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within a diverse community
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, time management and organizational skills

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Admissions and Communications Manager, develops and implements a marketing strategy to support the school’s enrollment goals
  • Identify new markets from which to recruit new students within and outside Thailand, with focused initiatives to drive enrollment
  • Contribute to the school’s annual marketing budget, allocating resources according to the school’s marketing plan
  • Develops a comprehensive multi-channel prospective customer marketing program that supports effective customer engagement, retention and parent advocacy
  • Regularly monitor competitor performance to support the school’s development plan and marketing initiatives
  • Improves marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improves school’s brand awareness; provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Look for creative ways to strategically differentiate the MYIS brand in a competitive category, which is relevant and engaging to targeted parents
  • Oversees digital marketing strategy with partnered external agencies to drive an integrated digital marketing strategy across all channels, refining and revising the digital marketing strategy depending on objectives and budget
  • Creates and executes social media strategy and ensures regular and consistent updating of content on all such channels
  • Identify and execute relevant community-based initiatives in which the school can play a key part, which can support brand awareness/positive brand perception
  • Represents the school at targeted local networking opportunities and recruitment fairs, both local and international
  • Identify and network with potential feeder schools within the local community and establish close working partnerships to generate new inquiries
  • Actively identifies and engages with corporations, businesses, embassies and establishes potential partnerships to help strengthen the school’s image and to find ways to recruit new students
  • Consistently and actively finds ways to increase parent visits to the school and to recruit new families
  • Works closely with Admissions department to ensure marketing strategies convert into concrete parent inquiries and student enrollment
  • Creates materials and presentations for parent visits, school open houses and other school promotional events
  • Oversees the production of high quality digital and print marketing materials and publicity information ensuring that all information and publicity meets the school
    standards for presentation, content and branding
  • Assists with the production of new marketing collateral and digital media
  • Enhance the reputation of the school through proactive message placement by drafting of press releases and establishing positive relationships with local media channels
