Quality Operations Manager - Pharmaceutical and Health Care Manufacturing (180K)


  • Maintaining professional competence in a wide range of technical, scientific and regulatory fields while promoting excellent working relationships with other departments including the Management Team.  The incumbent is expected to operate with a heavy reliance on personal experience, knowledge and skills while always following and promoting the Company Core Values. 
  • Hands-on technical expertise in resolving issues and identifying risks.  This may include recommendations as to appropriate actions and evaluations of resources required.
  • Development of staff and overall organization is a vital aspect of this position.  Methodologies such as career development plans/actions, empowerment, diversity practices, team work, coaching and training must be utilized.
  • Using a systematic approach to managing quality improvements and resolution of daily quality issues. Also working with the QRM Director who will be responsible for establishing specific quality measurements and direction.
  • Product & process quality with strategy of continuous improvement. Day-to-day responsibilities of QC Inspection, R.M, and I.P labs to ensure support of the Operations.
  • Supports the implementation of Operational Excellence, Lean Six Sigma, 5S and all related activities.
  • Ensues that within the Quality Operations area the QMS is followed and Standard Work is implemented and maintained and follows all Quality System requirements.
  • Customer requirements.  The focus must be proactive, prevention based approach aimed at not creating defects.  The focus is to have capable and stable manufacturing.
  • Reports significant quality and regulatory issues to the Facility QRM Director and Divisional QRM personnel and ensures good bilateral communications with other glove business unit personnel.
  • Regulatory and Good Manufacturing Practice compliance as outlined in the Quality Manual, Policies and Procedures.
  • Manages the total supplier quality process including supplier approval and inspection of incoming raw materials.
  • Responsible for monitoring and evaluating direct reports for compliance to workplace
  • safety and environment policy.
  • Performs other relate duties of similar type and work on assigned.
  • Department Heads are responsible for over all safety of all their subordinates.


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineer, Polymer Science and Chemistry, Foods Technology or related field
  • Min. 8 years working experience win Quality Operations Management or equivalent position.
  • A comprehensive understanding of quality system requirements and processes, within manufacturing operations is required. 
  • Good command of spoken and written English. 
  • Knowledge of Quality Awareness , SQMS / GMP / HACCP
