TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER – EXTRUDER / MOULDING / INJECTION
The Technical Sales Manager will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and implementation of sales plans/budgets and for reporting on progress, and dealing with the following key functions:
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual sales forecasts, budgets, and programs aligned to the company sales and marketing strategies in Thailand.
  • Contributing to promotion and advertising activities to achieve the company objectives.
  • Advising the Management team by way of reporting on market trends, product reputation, competitor activities, pricing, products, and related strategies.
  • Liaising with Production and Sales staff to ensure client needs and market opportunities are met to achieve sales targets at the budgeted margin.
  • Developing new business by identifying market opportunities/cold calling.
  • Managing overall sales activities with key customers, including quotes, price negotiations, and post-sales follow-ups/customer objections.
  • Ensuring strong customer relationships through customer bonding.
  • Liaising between customers and internal manufacturing and the Technical team regarding the effective flow of information and communications.
  • Regularly attending networking events.
  • Identifying prospective clients and maintaining current contacts and historical sales activity data.
  • Assisting in the development and launching of new products, and participating in sales presentations to major clients.
  • Developing new business opportunities, and regularly visiting tier 2 and key clients to ensure good relations are developed and maintained.
  • Liaising with Accounts to manage overdue accounts and outstanding debts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Administration, Marketing or any related field.
  • 5 years of working experience in a sales function, preferably from the home appliance, plastic moulding and or extruding industries.
  • 5+ years in B2B sales experience.
  • Knowledge of OEM markets, materials, and clients.
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical and presentation skills and the ability to formulate sales, marketing, and business proposals.
  • Excellent communication and sales skills, with a pleasant personality and excellent leadership qualities.
  • A strong command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Computer literate in MS Office.
