DC Operation Manager (Fresh Food)

Work Location: Distribution Center at Mahachai, Samutsakorn Province

Job scope: :-

  • Ensuring his/her responsible activities in the Fresh Food areas of the Automated Cross Dock Distribution Center are achieved at the level of expectation through managing the critical operational area: 3PL performance on warehouse operation, transportation and operation planning while maintaining cost efficient operation.

Responsibilities :-

  • Work with the logistics service provider to analyze and define the critical operational factors to obtain for the most cost –effective operation in the automated operation environment.
  • Operation Control and Analyst data to monitor 3PL. 
  • Achieve the targeted service level of his/her category through development and analysis of appropriated key performance indicators.
  • Joint planning with the 3PL and its capacity planners to define the most efficient DC space utilization plan, automated sorter plan, operation flow, delivery plan and urgent orders.
  • Ensure the interface with 3PL related to his/her category on a daily basis on scheduling, planning, ordering, good receiving, dispatching and store delivery.
  • Manage and control daily reconciliation of inventory at DC to enable company ordering system to operate correctly, including stock adjustments and periodic physical stock take.
  • Manage daily claims from stores and DHL.
  • Communicate with SCM in head office to pass on the issues that needed to be solved strategically.
  • Work closely with HO SCM team for order plans , promotion, back haul, transport and other activities.
  • Communicate with stores to pass on daily activity that may affect store GR operation and order to solve daily issues that may arise.
  • Manage 3PL for “ Value-added service” activities, such as goods return to vendor and stores transfer.
  • Manage and report the logistics irregularities on a daily basis from to vendor and stores transfer.
  • Manage and perform the daily order consolidation task from stores and head office order requests on office holidays and weekend.
  • Control additional logistics operational expense for ad hoc requirement basis.
  • Proactively providing inputs/ideas on continuous operation improvement plan.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by Supply Chain Manager.

Qualification :-

  • Graduated in Supply Chain, Logistics or related filed. 
  • At least 5 years similar position at managerial level; with substantial exposure from a service- oriented organization; interpersonal skills, good planning, leadership, communication and negotiation skills;computer literate
  • Self-motivated , decisive, team player, open minded, firm and pragmatic, can work under pressure , willing to work long hours, attentive to details, has a positive work attitude, honest and has high level of integrity.
  • Able to work for 6 days.
