Internal Communication Deputy Department Manager

Job responsibility

Internal Communications and Digital Roles                      

  • Write and manage the bi-lingual contents for all print and electronic media
  • Translate and edit the communications news/ documents for internal communications eg. web contents, etc
  • Work closely and advise communication channels to HR for all HR plan details/ launch events, pictures & materials to communicate timely to internal audience through various channels
  • Oversee all Internal communications media including connecting to key stakeholders, interviews, content gatherings for all medias (email, bulletin board, restroom board, voice on line, magazine, screen saver, portal, hot board, lift poster, lobby display, People Connect, Video, Podcast, social media, etc)
  • Manage and implement internal activation initiated by HR team to drive employee engagement to the business and HR Strategy
  • Interact and work closely with each department to strategically develop and implement communication plans and PR efforts, maintain liaison with other functions involved in comms
  • Network effectively across the business to gain an understanding of the organisation

  • Facilitate change, managing change communication to create clarity and understanding
  • Oversee HR digital channels including Thai Union Thailand website, and hotboard system and social digital channels
  • Utilize Internal Communications as a powerful strategic tool for an organization to enable and energize its people to go through change and achieve the company’s strategic objectives
  • Manage effective and ongoing communication on change until final phase
  • Monitor corporate news and competitors & customers news and activities to communicate internally to employees, bringing about external orientation and bringing customers to the heart of Thai Union’s business


Corporate Social Responsibility – HR Scope                                    

  • Deliver the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on HR Scope activation both internally and externally
  • Network and work with Sustainability team across the company to develop CSR plan and follow up its progress and complete and edit reporting
  • Localize sustainability newsletter/ contents from the Global Sustainability team
  • Identify new activities and opportunities for engagement in Sustainability
  • Coordinate CSR Thailand – HR scope and work closely with team
  • Organize Thai Union CSR activities internally and externally
  • Drive communications and engagement in Thai Union

Thai Union EVP Roles                                               

  • Support implementation of Thai Union EVP
  • Raise awareness, inspire and motivate employees in building Thai Union's corporate reputation
  • Manage corporate brand strategy to promote company’s image and reputation internally and externally
  • Oversee corporate wide communications such as corporate advertisings, video, brochures, signs and presentations to ensure effective corporate branding to the public
  • Manage and develop other tools necessary to help enable successful corporate brand and employer brand execution
  • Work closely with HR and Leadership to create both short-term and long-term strategic communication plan to promote Thai Union Thailand as best employer branding in Seafood industry internally and externally

Manage Communications Plan

  • Provide strategic communication direction and manage the effective implementation of content that meets business goals and user needs
  • Ensure communication function aligns with the “Business Strategy”, other corporate business areas and initiatives for maximum strategic effectiveness.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of communication and recommends changes in implementation as needed
  • Manage internal communications activities to energize and create fun working environment
  • Digital engagement with employees and external audiences, including through innovative use of social Interactive tools
  • Applying rigorous evaluation & analysis to steer future plans
  • Low cost, high impact (PR driven) on editorial and ‘earned media’ that build the Thai Union corporate brand and CSR
  • Great story impact across Thailand
  • Work closely with the HR and communications team member to ensure the maximum impact and consistency in processes and use of channels across all Thailand



  • Master Degree in Mass Communications, Public Relations or Journalism
  • Communicative, initiative, creative, energetic, outgoing and friendly
  • Positive and proactive with can-do attitude
  • Having competent knowledge about company and business, attention to details
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and senior managers across Thai Union
  • Ability to deliver quality work under pressure/on deadline with excellent time management skill
  • Experience in communications (PR or Advertising Agency)
  • Event management experience
  • Good writing and translating skills, fluent in English
