Compliance Supervisor - (40 to 70k)

Principal Responsibilities

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the Senior Compliance Supervisor holds a key position in the Compliance team, as a part of the Sustainable Sourcing Department, ensuring the efficiency of and improving the Internal Control System throughout our Supply Chain, from the farms to the factory, from the farmers to the factory workers, from the raw materials to the finished goods.

Compliance

  • Drive the Organic, Fair Trade and Social Responsibility process throughout the chain of custody, following “Fair For Life” and Organic standards requirements.
  • Monitor all stakeholders’ compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Actively support stakeholders to improve their compliance and implement corrective actions whenever necessary.
  • Develop the internal control system to ensure excellent efficiency of our monitoring. Review and adapt the control program to improve risks coverage.
  • Coordinate the permanent internal control process: Implement the standard controls sets throughout the chain of custody. This includes internal operations, factory, farmers, carriers, independent contractors, service providers and intermediaries.
  • Prepare and assist certifier inspections and follow up on all corrective actions.
  • Assist process owners in implementation of all corrective actions. Follow up with action plan and realize follow up audit as necessary.

Management

  • Develop and manage the agronomists and other projects staff involved in the Internal Control System.
  • Train and interact with a wide range of key actors in the process, including farmers, workers, certifiers and all level of management.

Risk management & Reporting

  • Establish and maintain documentation of processes, policies, procedures and control matrices.
  • Assess and analyze risk areas and control gaps of existing systems and procedures.
  • Identify and evaluate the effectiveness of controls designed to address these risks.
  • Propose changes to remediate or mitigate identified risks. Provide practical, innovative and value-added solutions to identified issues.
  • Analyze information and data collected during the inspections and prepare reports in a serviceable format to management.
  • Prepare written reports and presentations to summarize progresses, areas for improvement and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Alert management of significant defaults and findings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in external audit, internal audit, internal control, quality control fields or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3 years of work experience from any standards of management systems.
  • Strong aspiration to work with farmers and workers to improve social and environment impact.
  • Agricultural experience as a plus.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining management systems such as QSHE, GMP, HACCP, etc.
  • Experience in CSR, Organic and/or Fair Trade as a plus.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment, flexible hours.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Flexible and creative problem solving.
  • Very thorough, with great attention to details.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Ability to organize assignments, set priorities and carry out plans.
  • Proficient in Thai, able to communicate in English both of written and spoken.
  • Excellent Microsoft-Office skills.
  • Valid driving license and car.
