Process & Production Engineer for FMCG (With Food Experience)
Our client is a leading global manufacturer of consumer products.  

Responsibilities:

  • Taking manufacturing leadership of the project team that introduces new in Working with R&D, Engineering, Quality, planning, logistics, IM Leader, manufacturing, and other functions as required.
  • Ensuring that new initiatives are delivered in with the line CQV standards, achieve GE targets and other manufacturing success criteria in on-time Vertical Start-Up from concept to commissioning.
  • Being responsible for the start-up phase of a new project or initiative. It is a role that requires the leadership and motivation of staff at multiple levels, deliver new projects or initiatives in line with CQV and MOS Standards.
  • Supporting motivational leadership, passion for coaching and relentless desire for everyday great delivery and execution.
  • Driving a team ethic that at its core is passionate for continual improvement, scope out team training needs and set out a clear implementation plan.
  • Being responsible for the manufacturing lines operational and financial performance in line with Section’s annual operating plan commitment and start-up requirements.
  • Demonstrating and delivering financial control, compliance, and improvement, through a proactive approach with regards to the total cost of manufacturing and conversion cost control associated with the lines, their operation and their portfolio.
  • Working closely with the Plant Manager / Section Manager, informing and shaping line and section budget requirements and delivering adherence to budget figures approved by the Section and Site which will include recruitment and training budgets.
  • Tracking and reporting to deviations to form a significant part of the role and ensuring the area has the most cost-effective production process while meeting the production schedule with the best quality at lowest possible costs in order to achieve maximum customer satisfaction. 
  • Identifying, evaluating and delivering improvements on productivity and efficiency targets on lines and develop team accountabilities to support individual’s ownership for the lines’ efficiency, yield, rework, overweight, scrap, etc.
  • Ensuring SSE standards are met, setting out clear risk assessment creation timescales and adherence to all safety policies.
  • Having high personal development of some leadership capabilities initiatives to the project line or process.
Qualifications:
  • University Degree (Bachelor) or higher in Engineering or another related field.
  • Proven experience of delivering significant Capex investment projects - CAPEX.
  • Strong background within a food process manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of hands-on commissioning.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills with experience of navigating complex projects.
  • Experience of managing tender processes and delivering against financial budgets.
  • Experience and or understanding of project management techniques.
  • Good English communication skill.
