Application Support Engineer / Manager

Job Summary

The Application Support Engineer will be the lifeline for all users of our tailor-made software, which could be internal and external user. Application Support Engineers handle all incoming requests for assistance and work independently or with others to resolve issues, while giving exceptional service for both team members and users.


  • Troubleshoot basic application and website-related issues
  • Receive and respond to incoming error messages from internal applications
  • Maintain responsibility for system and user administration for the entire organization
  • Receive and respond to incoming help requests
  • Identify and learn appropriate software used and supported by the organization
  • Work with team of developers, Quality assurance engineer, Business analysts and Project leader to resolve production issues
  • Respond with a sense of urgency to all requests for assistance
  • Support daily data operations to recover from urgent incident
  • Define and layout support strategy (eg. Process, Documents, Tools, Resources) to team and company (for Manager Level)
  • Be ready and capable to attend design discussion meeting to push support strategy idea into any tasks or projects (eg. moitoring, alerts, deployments, documents and recovery strategy matrix) (for Manager Level)

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities, eg; Server, Website, SQL - Understanding of coding, logic and software development life cycle.
  • Service mind and be professional
  • Strong attention to detail, attitude to learn quickly, and ability multitasking.
  • Ability to work individually and as a team.
  • Possess a passion for working with and learning new technologies
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Be available for weekend support rotations
  • Be available to work early or stay late to ensure all issues are handled in a timely manner
