Accounting Manager - Fresh Fruit Manufacturing (Based in Hua Hin)
Job Description:
  • Managing all areas related to accounting and corporate tax functions; controlling financial activities for the company and its subsidiaries.
  • Developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely financial reports as well as managing the annual financial audit and year-end closing.
  • Supporting annual budget preparation and forecast activities.
  • Supervising & managing the Accounting team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Planning, organizing and coordinating the work of the immediate subordinates in the General Accounting & Payroll Department.
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports of both the Statutory and Falcon books for periodic, quarterly and year-end closing of the company and its subsidiaries.
  • Controlling periodic and quarterly financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses, coordinating the collection, consolidation and evaluation of financial data, and preparation of special reports.
  • Understanding the details of accounting standards, internal controls, and the Company’s policies and procedures; and communicating to the Accounting team and all concerned.
  • Providing guidelines to other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy, and applying the observations and recommendations to operational issues.
  • Keeping updated on current and proposed legislation, enforcing accounting regulations, and recommending new procedures.
  • Communicating, clarifying and solving accounting problems and corporate income tax issues to both internal and external people, including auditors and government officers.
  • Managing and organizing the correctness of the Monthly Corporate Tax (VAT and Withholding tax) and yearly Properties Tax and Land Tax, and, ensuring that all are correct and performed in a timely manner according to associated regulations and requirements.
  • Being responsible for the mid-year and year-end corporate income tax returns of all companies.
  • Cooperating with the external auditors regarding year-end auditing; and preparing the Draft of Annual Audit Reports.
  • Participating in company continuous improvements activities, and leading and directing the activities related to improvements as needed.
  • Performing various other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and an MBA in a related field.
  • Male / female, aged 35 – 45, Thai national with a mature personality.
  • Must be able to be based at Hua Hin (Prachuap Khiri Khan).
  • a Minimum of 10 years' experience in accounting roles & handling a company’s books of accounts, including the preparation of statistical and financial reports for management information with experience of team management in managerial / supervisory position.
  • CPD certified with a strong background in accounting and reporting; auditing and reviewing, taxation, and costing system. A CPA is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of Finance and Accounting, J-Sox and taxation regulations.
  • Must have experience in a manufacturing company. Experience in food & beverage, consumer products or any FMCG is preferable.
  • Very good English communication skills, both writing & speaking.
  • Must be adaptable with strong leadership skills, well organized, detail oriented, good analytical skills, proactive, good presentation & communication skills and possess a commercial mind-set.
