Plant Director (Food Industry)

Overview of the Role
The ideal Plant Director involves overseeing the management of all areas of manufacturing to produce products and direct activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.  This position is for the food manufacturing business based in Chiangrai. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops the manufacturing plan and establishes procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.
  • Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards as per parameters given by our R& D and qualities team.
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
  • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus in company’s overall growth.
  • Supply chain management and cost control in coordination with CFO and Finance department.
  • Planning and controlling of production plans and forecasts.
  • Regular and accurate Management Reporting.
  • Collect and analyses data to find places of waste or overtime.
  • Hires, trains, develops and evaluates staff. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensures compliance with current federal, state and local regulations. Consults with Human Resources Department as appropriate.


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree or Higher in Mechanical, Industrial engineer, Food Science Technology or any related Field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the noodle making process and adequate knowledge of food manufacturing process.
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources)
  • Analyze problems and solve immediate situations quickly and accurately.
  • Good verbal and written communication in English.
