Process Improvement Engineer


Reports to: 
Operation Manager


Position Summary:
 


Work with management to identify new process improvement opportunities in the areas of quality, cost, performance, and preventive/predictive maintenance.

Evaluate and analyze current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvements.

Analyze and identify opportunities to reduce process variation, improve process capabilities and optimize process performance.

Develop process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and productivity.

Facilitate the deployment of new and changed processes to provide improved results.

Develop standard procedures and policies to be followed.

Work with various teams to reduce process and business variations.

Assist Managers in management for capital projects.

Prepare project presentations for management when needed.

Review and update business procedures and documents based on project requirements.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Find ways to eliminate wastefulness in production processes. Devise efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, information, and energy to provide a service.

  •    Review Operations or Maintenance schedules, engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods that are applied and activities that take place in services.
  •   Figure out how to deliver services, with maximum efficiency.
  •   Enact quality control procedures to resolve services difficulties or minimize costs.
  •   Design control systems to coordinate activities or Operation planning in order to ensure that services meet quality standards
  •   Confer with clients about service requirement, vendors about purchases, management personnel about services capabilities, and staff about the status of projects.

  Budget and Resource Management

  • Develop management control systems to make financial planning and cost analysis more efficient

Customer Coordination

  • Coordinate with customers and respond to customer questions to serve their technical needs also the work and services schedule.
  • Liaise with customers in initiating and analyzing the company’s mission and strategy.
  • Work with Operation Manager in discussion with customers concerning the business contract also KPI performance tracking.

 

 Quality, Health, Safety, Environment Control

  • In designing new process services, materials, tools, from old fashion process, to be thoroughly review with QHSE department and services front line team which might correlation to Environment Health and Safety also quality assurance

  Required Skills or Tools:

  • Engineering Mechanical,Instrumentation, Electrical of Operation Offshore.
  • Troubleshooting
  • Machines and tools
  • Mathematics, Statistical Analysis and Visualization
  • Quality Control.

 Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Age not under 35 years
  • Bachelor Degree of Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering or relevant fields
  • Experience in Offshore Well Head Platform, Reciprocating Compressor Operations or relevant fields

 Challenges in this position:

  • Creativity. use creativity and ingenuity to design new service processes in many kinds of settings in order to reduce the use of material resources, time, or labor while accomplishing the same goal.
  • Critical-thinking skills create new systems to solve problems related to waste and inefficiency. Solving these difficulties requires logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to the problems.
  • Striving efficiency gain after combine Crane Mechanics, MOT & RC team.
  • Problem-solving skills. In designing new process services, deal with several issues at once, from old fashion process, Man Power, safety to quality assurance.
  • Speaking skills.have to explain their instructions to Operation & Maintenance staff or technicians before they can make written instructions available. Being able to explain concepts clearly and quickly is crucial to preventing costly mistakes and loss of time.
  • Writing skills. must prepare documentation for other engineers or scientists, or for future reference. The documentation must be coherent and explain their thinking clearly so that the others can understand the information.
  • Data Information management of MOT, Crane, PLE, Man Power, Spare Parts.
