The Facilities Manager is responsible for delivering continuous improvement in productivity, increased efficiency and improved cost control to the Weatherford Thailand business. The Facilities Manager will manage the day to day activities, executing and exceeding company quality and delivery performanceto support our drive to service the customer. You willbuild individual technical and leadership capability to direct reports and develop and maintain a continuous improvement process and culture throughout the facility in line with Lean Management principles.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Core Values
1. Co-ordinate and comply with HSE procedures and policies in accordance with the AS 4801 Safety Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, including:
Regular attendance and participation in safety and tool box meetings
Regular HSE inspections.
Ensure third party compliance to Weatherford HSE Procedures whilst on Weatherford premises.
Actively promote positive HSE culture.
Lead by example.
2. Co-ordinate and comply with quality procedures and policies in accordance with the ISO9001 Quality Assurance System, including:
Building rewarding customer relationships (internal and external) by understanding, responding to and satisfying customer requirements.
Actively participating in Continual Improvement by identifying, analysing and implementing cost effective innovative solutions to the benefit of the business.
Ensuring equipment and personnel are fit for purpose.
Active involvement in the raising of Corrective and Preventative Action Reports (CPAR) across the organisation.
Responsible for investigation and implementation of Corrective Actions for all CPAR’s that directly relate to area of responsibility.
Regular review of relevant Work/Service Instructions and update when necessary.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accountable to use the company Performance Management system to set objectives and rate individual performance of team members. This task can not be delegated;
Responsible for coaching and mentoring team members;
Accountable for managing the performance of team members;
Accountable for achieving results through people; and
Leading and driving the development of team and individual capability.
Implementation of Lean principles to help identify and drive continuous improvement
within the business – Continuously Challenge existing systems and processes to maximise throughput and reduce customer lead times
Develop and execute Operational and Strategic Plans for area of responsibility
Develop and implement robust systems, processes, policies and procedures to maximise organisational efficiencies and drive down costs in Thailand;
Liaise with external regulatory bodies to ensure standards and legislative requirements are adhered to;
Manage the financial results with a focus on cost optimisation and accountability.
Other duties as directed.
Provide direction and support to all business units in the Thailand facilities to enable them to deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
Help to develop and implements successful business plans and strategies
Define and deliver Quality as expected by the Customer and ensure compliance
Provide Guidance and manage the day to day operations
Assist in driving behavioural change within the facilities to ensure a strong safety culture
Improve processes to achieve high levels of efficiency commercially & operationally.
REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Lean and 6 Sigma
Ability to influence people at all levels within the organisation;
QHSSE Theoretical and Practical knowledge;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Demonstrated procedural knowledge and operational competency;
Excellent management skills and interpersonal skills;
Excellent IT competence;
Sound organisation and time management skills; and
Oil and Gas experience.
Minimum 5+ years experience in the Manufacturing or related Industry; and
Comprehensive knowledge of Lean principles.
A demonstrated background with continuous improvement
A strong ability to influence change.
