IL6S Manager LKB (Continuous Improvement)
    Propose, introduce and realize strategy at the FI section with the aim to contribute to the plant vision. The purpose of this position is to support in sustaining Focused Improvement as a living culture of permanently challenging the status quo understood as a day to day activity and behaviour of all plant employees.       Lead and engage site & FI team to bring new ideas, improve efficiency and productivity of the existing processes, implement FI tools and techniques to bring new productivity and help organization to grow. Lead the implementation of FI & productivity ideas and help organization to grow and improve existing processes. Support in SQCDSM manufacturing excellence concept along with training processes to increase personal knowledge, skills & responsibility all through the plant.        Support excellent Customer service level via performing deep capacity analysis & backup solutions preparation. Support start-ups and learning curves of NPDs or CAPEX projects to minimize impacts on capacity. Support delivery of other functional goals (safety, quality)   

Some of the key accountabilities for this role will include (but are not limited to)

  • Build up an effective FI culture in the plant – delivering clear understanding of continuous improvement process requirements (behaviours and culture) necessary to deliver productivity and improve safety, quality, and service.
  • Drive behavioural change across the plant, through coaching, training of FI tools usage and influencing employees.
  • Lead the FI pillar of the plant & build the capability of the team on the FI tools & standard work processes.
  • Lead in driving the IL6S agenda for the plant, and the Zero Loss, Zero Incidents and Zero Defects journey through the SQCDSM approach.
  • Drive achieving the plant conversion productivity target and identifying productivity opportunities to close potential gaps.
  • Supporting start-ups of NPDs, Capex projects and learning curves during projects.
  • Initiates and supports training and induction programs by using existing tools from the continuous improvement toolbox (Six sigma, QCDSM, 5S +1, FMEA, SMED - Changeover, etc) to ensure all employees understand the concept of continuous improvement.
  • Support excellent Customer service level via performing deep capacity analysis & backup solutions preparation.
  • Support delivery of other functional goals (safety, quality) - implementing fail safe devices program, performing safety scans & behaviour observation.
  • Incorporate IL6S engineer’s roles in plant organization. Utilize their skills & abilities to bring productivities, improve & optimize processes, safety, quality, and delivery service.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicator that clearly measure plant performance as a base for improvements. Build up effective system for measuring & control of KPIs in the plant. Build up communication tools for KPIs tracking understandable for whole plant levels.
  • Perform work in compliance with the requirements of IMS (Integrated Management System) and valid work procedures and instructions. Follows rules for work safety, security, environment and food safety according to legal and MDLZ requirements.
  • Proactively collaborates with Global FI & Lean organization to communicate the global benchmarking methodology, sharing the best practices, implementing FI tool
  • Lead and build capability on IDF across site, ensuring efficient utilization and capability amongst colleagues
  • Coach all IL6S pillars to develop pillar efficiencies and contributions to site CBN and losses per Hoshin

Do you have what it takes?

Knowledge:

  • University degree or equal by experience – Engineer / Food Technologist
  • Preferred – experience of Gum & Candy Technology
  • Experience/exposure in lean manufacturing process
  • Finance related to conversion processes
  • Management of conversion processes
  • GMP, HACCP and HSE principles

Experience:
  • +10 years manufacturing experience
  • IL6S experience (Phase 2)
  • Proven experience with work simplification and redesign
  • Working knowledge of improvement tools (Lean/FI tools and Techniques)
  • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing management program
