Sales Director - Automotive

Our client is a leading manufacturer in its field with operations worldwide. They are now looking for a Sales Director to join their organization. The successful candidate will drive growth & increase brand equity. They will manage the distribution growth and channel development. Analyze market trends and competitor activities and strengthen sales force development.  

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with HR this candidate will develop the sales force to become strong consultants with the focus on the right balance of sell-in/sell-out activities.
  • Operate & motivate, develop, supervise and coach subordinates on tasks; share/advice on problem-solving solution; monitor/evaluate performance; evaluate, review and propose subordinate performance evaluation, promotion, recognition and competency assessments in order to ensure high-performance team oriented, dedicate workforce, and meet organizational capabilities
  • Coach and mentor team members
  • Complete performance and development reviews/appraisals of, and planning for, team members per HR processes.
  • Hold regular meetings, both formal and informal, with team members.
  • Lead the integration of multiple sales teams. Joint planning sessions with units involved in driving the business.
  • Consolidates and executes Sales annual operation plan.
  • Regularly tracks the performance of Sales, gross profit per brand, channel, and customer
  • Coordinates with Supply Chain and Marketing to provide accurate forecast and ensure adequate supply capability
  • Develops the distribution strategy and ensures execution of business targets, monitors distribution, channel penetration and business growth through distribution optimization.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of strategic and tactical sales activities in order to meet market demands. Collaborates and influences Marketing and Pricing to implement and control pricing policy

Requirements

  • Master Degree in business or a related field
  • 10 years professional experience in Sales with above 3 years in Management level (prefer Automotive and/or After Market Supplier Industry)
  • Direct experience in leading large sales team
  • Direct experience in Tire business is a plus
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Thai
  • Strategic sales planning and analysis
  • Strong leadership with team development skills
