Research Associate SPPD

  • Assist SPPD lead and breeders in nursery, seed production, inbred maintain planning and operation across PANSEA breeding pipeline.
  • Supervision in nursery, crossing block, seed processing and inventory management activities from seed to seed
  • Lead team of technicians and pollination crews in day-to-day SPPD operations
  • Conduct external ICB locations with timely execution in farmer area (from planning, contracting through harvesting)
  • Lead in mechanizations and equipment implementation to support SPPD activities
  • Collaborate with external stakeholder in assigned task such as Hand-off, GAIN, PVP, COOP-YT etc.
  • Responsibility over the environmental, safety and health program
  • Meet crop cycle timeline and seed production target to ensure pipeline success
  • Connect tightly with Pipeline delivery team across Asia to ensure the smooth operation in pipeline enablement and seed movement
  • Partner with SPPD, TPD and other breeding functions across region/global for optimization and standardization
  • Support SPPD lead in forecast and manage operation budget and capital
  • Lead team to implement and apply Breeding-QMS/ maintain continuous improvement culture/ organize regular and specific training to technicians and crews
