Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Thailand is recruiting on behalf of a well-known hotel brand with various properties in Thailand and abroad. Our client is seeking a certified Director of Finance with at least 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting in the hotel hospitality business.

Job Summary

The Director of Finance will oversee all financial operations in Thailand and overseas. The winning candidate will mainly be responsible for accounting and finance SOP set-up as well as doing financial analysis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for the company including its subsidiaries and provide a consolidated financial report
  • Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure
  • Coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required)
  • Prepare short and long-term financial budgets, forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties
  • Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms performance
  • Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (hiring/terminating policies), contracts, insurance, and other corporate policies.
  • Assist with companies fund raising process including capital increase, capital registration, debt sourcing and administration
  • Lead hotel pre-opening activities for accounting and finance department, including accounting & finance SOP set-up, software deployment, recruitment, training
  • Ensure implementation of accounting software system accuracy and specifications according to standard accounting practices and local tax requirement
  • Secure third-party accounting firms in branches or satellite offices as required
  • Oversee purchasing department for headquarter and Phuket branch

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting & Finance
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Finance and Accounting and experience in hotel hospitality business both Thailand and South East Asia for more than 10 years.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and Thai tax regulations
  • Experience with pre-opening activities of hotels required
  • Experience with Cambodia, Philippines, or Laos accounting practices is advantageous
  • Possess of advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Good Command of English Communication both writing and speaking
  • Mature and hold passion to achieve
  • Interpersonal Skill required
