  • To ensure the highest degree of cleanliness in all areas responsible by housekeeping department including guest rooms, public areas, walk-ways, public toilets at all times and to ensure that guest rooms are immaculately clean upon guest check in and during entire period of stay by liaising effectively with front office and engineering department. To ensure that the beach & landscaped areas of the resort are neat and tidy at all times. Areas include gardens, plants, trees, lawns, flowers.
  • Controlling all expenses related to housekeeping and gardening department as set out.
  • Suggests and implements cost saving measures without affecting overall guest experience.
  • Ensures that assigned rooms, walk-ways, service and other areas are properly cleaned and inspected daily.
  • Ensures that all reports are prepared and completed on time.
  • Ensures that all Housekeeping working procedure are available, current and in effect and available for all staffs to use as reference.
  • Ensures that proper key controls are in place.
  • Ensure that par levels of linen, towels and uniforms are current; a summary report should be sent to accounting. Takes an accurate linen inventory monthly.
  • Responsible for inventory of guest supply and mini bar inventory of each period
  • Ensures that all staff are in proper dress code and correct uniform.
  • Ensures that lost and found articles are stored properly and that the correct logs are maintained.
  • Coordinates work of external contractors (pest control) if required.
  • Initiates measures to minimize all wastage of materials and amenities that are used in the department.
  • Responsible for making Monthly reporting.
  • Trains and motivates staff to become multi-skilled in all areas of the department
  • Organizes training for all staff to promote job advancement and career development
  • Works well with all other departments of the resort and acts as a leader and example for all housekeeping staff.
