HOTEL DESCRIPTION

Right at the heart of Koh Samui, a stone's throw from the main shopping and nightlife, thanks to its outstanding location and comfortable and extensive services, the hotel is the perfect choice for all of the business or leisure trips in the city. The hotel provides 95 purist and elegant rooms with exquisite decoration and stunning views of the sea, a restaurant with a rooftop terrace, an elegant beach front bar with a large outdoor terrace.

 

Role and Responsibilities

Support directly to the DO designing and implementing projects, programs, strategies, budgets and action plans, assuming the responsibility for the implementation and monitoring them to achieve the established goals.

  • Analyze weekly in the follow-up meeting of the projection, the staffing report, depending on the occupancy levels and standards set for the hotel Brand.
  • Ensure the decisions and actions taken in the departments under his supervision following the budget guidelines and goals, trying to increase the incomes, control costs and identify fail areas to achieve the business plan. Search the deviations reasons and take corrective actions to solve the situation.
  • Participate with the DO on the budget development, monthly tracking and making decisions to improve weak areas.
  • Analyze the forecast and reforecast, giving support to the revenue department.
  • Encourage the team work and ongoing communication between all the departments to ensure the staff are aware of their goals, roles and duties.  
  • Continually evaluate managers’ performance and supporting them in setting short and long term objectives, standards of service and quality, and also in the monitoring and analysis of results.
  • Ensure that the leadership style of the heads of department and managers is based on monitoring, evaluation and development of its employees, giving them the empowerment and autonomy necessary to grow up.
  • Coordinate the heads department and managers work and advise them to set goals in short term and long term. In coordination with the DO, set goals, giving monitor and support to the action plans of each department.
  • Promote training for all the staff in the hotel, giving special emphasis to their professional development within the hotel structure and/or the company in general.
  • With the DO, you will be responsible to guarantee a well working environment in all the hotel areas. Support and motivate the Heads of Department and Executive Committee under his responsibility, helping them to increase the employee satisfaction. Represent the hotel and showing a modern impression outside the hotel and the company.
  • Assist the briefing and lead it.  
  • Continually supervise and evaluate the quality standards and services in general and the adequate maintenance and functionality of the facilities, furniture, equipment, cleaning as well as the level of security for each department, taking action when is necessary to guarantee the complete customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze, investigate and inform to the DO about customer complaints received through questionnaires, by correspondence or verbally at the hotel, compare the information to make the best decision followed by contact and resolution with the costumer.
  • Participate and collaborate actively in implementing the Business Plan and the definition of business strategy to be followed at the same time with the hotel management. Actively involved in the hotel sales visits and commercial actions. Represent the hotel in commercial meetings and events.
  • Involve with the DO and Revenue Manager defining sales strategies with the objective to improve the occupancy and the average room rates.
  • Assist the Business Review, forecast meetings, commercial meetings… to improve sales strategies included in the Business Plan.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the hotel operation.
  • Execute all instructions and work assigned by the DO.
  • With the Health and Safety Department support, ensure all the areas of the H&S law are adhered to.

 

Education and Experience Required: 

Core Work Activities

Reporting directly to the Hospitality Business Head, you will be responsible of the planning, coordination, management supervision and analysis of results from all Hotel Departments. You have to actively work with the DO/Members of the Executive Committee, with the associates and customers. You have to ensure the implementation of the procedures and policies of Bantita International Group Hotels & Resorts within the strategic lines.

 Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in the same position in hotels of a similar category.
  • Experience in Lifestyle hotels management.
  • Experience in Beach/Island hotels & Resorts.
  • International guest market knowledge is mandatory.
  • University diploma / degree, preferably in Tourism (or equivalent Hospitality and Tourism studies)  
  • Thailand experience.
  • Functional knowledge of all department operations.
  • Management of Human Resources & Talent.
  • Management of profitability.
  • Management of Sales and Marketing.
  • Revenue Management.
  • Sustainability & Environment.
  • Knowledge of IT tools used in hotel management.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent level of English and Thai is mandatory.
  • Available to be relocated in Koh Samui, Thailand.
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
