Operations Assistant Manager (URGENT!)

Direct Report To :  General Manager

Indirect Report To :   Managing Director/Executive Director

Position Reporting To Job Holder :   All Staff in Operations, Retail, Treasury, Ticketing

Basic Job Function:   

  • Responsible in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations of aquarium.


  • Responsible for overall day to day floor operation of the aquarium with the objective of meeting visitors’ service levels.
  • Provides counsel to senior management in assisting and/or driving business decision-making process.
  • Review current effectiveness of processes, propose improvement and plan for implementation of new procedures.
  • Plan for resources for standby, backup or relief staff in emergency cases.
  • Act on escalation and advise customer and management accordingly,
  • Ensuring the ongoing competence and development of staff.
  • Managing resources to achieve or exceed targets of the department.
  • Development and control of the operating budget of the department.
  • Assist the COO in organizational and cultural development in order to take the company to greater heights.
  • Responsible and coordinate with KLCC Management and the company.
  • Overseas the facility management of the aquarium including the cleanliness and security of the aquarium.
  • Responsible for coordination of all events, corporate functions, such as manpower, preparation and housekeeping.
  • Public relations duties with visitors especially in entertaining visitors’ complaints/feedback.
  • Ensure the operation readiness of the aquarium before opening for business. Report any malfunctions of facilities such as lighting, station railing, signboard, etc. to Maintenance Department and Operations Manager.
  • Responsible to coordinate with Executives and Floor Supervisors to deploy and supervise manpower at all levels to ensure maximum productivity and daily tasks are carried out efficiently.
  • Responsible to ensure no occurrence of major accident in the aquarium by adhering to strict safety standards by staffs/visitors and workers in the aquarium.
  • Responsible to ensure all staff practice customer safety and courtesy is “Number One” priority.
  • To assume other functions and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
